Update On My Mom

So my mom does have Guillain-Barré. They've moved her back into ICU and started treatment already. She'll be in the hospital several more days for the treatment (massive doses of immunoglobulin, apparently) but should, eventually, be fine.

Thanks, everyone, for your prayers.

  1. Glad you have an answer! Hugs and prayers to you.

  2. I'm sorry to have missed your first post on this yesterday. Guillain-Barre sounds very scary, I've heard of it before, somewhere. Lots of prayers and hugs from me too.
The mortality of a parent is a difficult place for a child to be. (No matter how grown-up the 'child'.

  3. I just remembered where I'd heard of this - the wonderful fictional character Michael Tolliver in Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City book series was diagnosed with G-B at one point!

  4. I'm only just reading yesterday's post . . . prayers from Asheville for you and your family all.

Howdy and thanks for looking in the window. Glad to have your comments here, just please remember to be kind.
